who has traced your face with kisses

where is your heart during the day

when did you last feel you were seen

when did you last feel you were heard

how much is love filling your body 

how much is life filling your soul

do you remember what joined our worlds

do you remember what tore us apart

could you imagine how much it changed me

could you imagine how much i lost

would you believe how much i loved you

would you believe how deeply i still do.

who saves all of their tears

when you lose rainstorms every night.

who gets to keep their comfort

who had no thing to lose

when you both chose to take a leap.

who gets to destroy you 

who gets to be defended

by every one that they deceive. 

it's hard to forgive someone

who your flesh cannot forget

whose voice your bones remember

like a brand burned on your soul. 

it's hard to forgive someone

who clings onto your memories

who keeps you suffocated

even when they've let you go.
